100 Days of Year 7

Mr Nick Heading

On Tuesday 22nd July, our second day back after our much-needed term break, our excitable Year 7 students got to celebrate 100 days of Year 7!

This is an enormous accomplishment for our students, signifying their new beginnings as well as everything they’ve accomplished so far in establishing themselves at Greensborough College.

To celebrate, students dressed up as their future career ambitions for what they would like to be upon leaving school. We saw quite a few nurses, builders, AFL players, scientists, and police officers. The best dressed outfits were awarded with some well-deserved lollies!

All our Year 7s spent some time creating time capsules to be opened on their final day of Year 12. These involved a letter to their future selves, writing messages of support to their friends, and having the chance to add anything else they would like to gift themselves on their last day. Students have brought in photos from primary school, mementos of camp and school holidays and a few other interesting gifts. It was wonderful to see our students reflect on who they want to be by the time they’re 18 and planning out the next steps on their journey here at Greensborough College.

Many thanks to all the teachers and staff who helped make the day a great success! 100 days done, and here’s to many more!
