Assistant Principal's Report

We have had a great start to Term 3 and have been very busy with College events commencing from Week 1. 

Semester One Reports were published to students and families on Compass in Week 1. Please review these reports and get in touch with subject teachers if you have any questions.  

Year 12 Parent Teacher Interviews were also conducted in Week 1, which were a good opportunity to discuss progress and requirements for Unit 4. We will have interviews for remaining levels in Week 9, after Term 3 progress reports are published. 

Year 9 and 10 Subject Selection and Course Counselling 

Students attended the Futures Fair/ Subject Expo displays and information in the second week of this term. Students in Years 9 and 10 have submitted subject preferences for 2026 and will attend a Course Counselling session as follows:  

Week 5: Wednesday 20th of August- Year 10 into 11 Course Counselling, students only attend school at the time of their meeting. Bookings are now open on Compass. 

Week 6: Tuesday 26th of August- Year 9 into 10 Course Counselling Interviews, students only attend school at the time of their meeting. Bookings are now open on Compass. 

Year 7 into 8 Enrichment Program Showcase  

Students in Year 7 have an opportunity to select a Year 8 Enrichment Program subject for 2026. In Week 4, Friday 15th of August, period 5, we will have our Year 7 into 8 Enrichment Program Showcase and subject promotions. Year 7B, C, D and E will attend this session to learn more about the 2026 Year 8 Enrichment Program and what is on offer for them to choose from. Students in 7A will continue into ADP in 2026.

We will provide information about how to submit preferences after the showcase. 

VCE SAC results and feedback on Compass Learning Tasks 

For feedback and results in VCE subjects, please see the new Compass Learning Task layout which now contains the following information: 

• A teacher comment on Achievement and Improvement and/or a Rubric 
• A percentage score (no longer letter grades). Please note: percentage scores may change following statistical moderation. 
• An S or N Outcome, which is for the SAC/SAT only (not coursework, re-do SAC opportunities etc)
