Subject Expo

Ms Kami Gillick-Lewis

On July 29th Greensborough College hosted its annual Futures Fair Subject Expo for students transitioning up from 8 to 9, 9 to 10 and 10 to 11. With all Learning Areas subject offerings on display, the evening was filled with excitement and chatter as students and parents meandered through the rich tapestry of electives and core subject offerings on display for 2026.

With a wide array of university stalls offering their pathway options to students, it was clear the smorgasbord of offerings opened many future pathway options for all students seeking different educational and industry pathways. A special thank you to Braden Holmes from the Australian Defence Force who shared his unique journey through schooling into the defence force with Principal Pauline Barker. As an alumni and graduate from Greensborough College, it was clear Braden had fond memories of attending Greensborough College in his youth and was a proud advocate for students entering defence force pathways after completing high school.

Overall, the Futures Fair and Subject Expo was teaming with excitement, positivity and enthusiasm. With new and immersive subjects splashing onto the pages of the 2026 subject handbooks, we look forward to seeing the curriculum expand and grow in 2026 when the college transitions to delivering Curriculum 2.0.

A huge thank you to all the staff and students who assisted in the set up and delivery of the event and to the students, carers, guardians and parents who attended. We hope 2026 brings forth great learning opportunities for all.
