Youth Community Services Expo

Heathmont College came alive this month as we celebrated Mental Health Month with our very own Youth Community Services Expo! The courtyard was buzzing with music, free merch, and plenty of good vibes as students explored all the amazing local services that support young people’s wellbeing.

Students got to take part in a scavenger hunt, chat with friendly representatives, and discover what’s out there to help them stay happy, healthy, and safe — all while scoring some cool freebies!

A big shoutout to the awesome organisations who joined us:

• YSAS (Youth Support and Advocacy Service) shared practical advice on drug and alcohol safety, helping students make smart, informed choices.
• The Proactive Policing Unit talked all things safe partying and how to stay safe while having fun with friends. 
• EACH offered great insights into mental health and wellbeing supports, reminding students that help is always available.
• The Eastern Community Legal Centre helped students understand their rights and legal options, making tricky topics feel easy to talk about. 

The event was a massive success — a perfect mix of fun, learning, and connection. Thank you to all the organisations who joined us, and to our amazing students for bringing such enthusiasm and positive energy to the day!
