2026 Curriculum Contributions – Towards the end of November you will notice the 2025 Contributions in Compass being replaced by the 2026 Curriculum Contributions.

Your contributions allow us to provide classroom stationery and materials to purchase bookpacks, resources for literacy and numeracy (readers and maths equipment), support our specialist programs, support whole school activities etc. and every amount is great appreciated. Thank you again to the many families who made payments to the 2025 Contributions.

2026 Curriculum Contributions will sit in your Compass Parent Payment Portal and you can make a ‘one-off’ payment, chose one of the many Instalment options or make smaller instalments during the year, if you choose.

Extra-Curricular Items & Activities (user-pays) includes the Sports Academy, Instrumental Music, Camps, Excursions and/or ‘any item or activity that are above and beyond what the school provides free to deliver the Curriculum’.

2026 Camps/Sports/Excursions Fund (CSEF) - Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities.

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities. If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

If your child is new to Heathmont College in 2026, or if there has been a change in your family circumstances, please complete an application form: 2026 CSEF Application Form and submit it with a copy of your Health Care Card (must be valid as at start of Term 1.

From 1 January 2026, families eligible for CSEF will see an increase in support to $400 for primary and secondary school children, up from $154 and $256 respectively.

2026 State School Relief (SSR) - Applications for the 2026 Year 7 uniform package, for CSEF recipients, will open from Monday 6 October 2025. Click here: 2026 SSR Year 7 Application Form

Please note that hardcopies of the above Forms are available at the Office, if required.

School Saving Bonus – The SSB funding has been a great support to families. This will not be repeated in 2026. All credit remaining has now reverted to use against school activities (Events/Excursions/Incursions). You can now click to ‘USE SSB CREDIT’ (if you have it available) in the actual Compass Event.

Please be aware that due to strict guidelines, credit cannot be used for laptops, Formals, donations, Curriculum Contributions etc. Any unused portion of SSB will carry over to 2026 and beyond and to siblings at the school.

If you have any questions regarding SSB, please ring Sandra on 9871 4888 (Mon/Tue/Thurs) or view: school.saving.bonus@education.vic.gov.au

Compass Events – Term 4 is a busy one and we request families check their Compass Parent Portal at least twice a week for upcoming Incursion, Excursion and Sporting Events as cut-off dates for Consent and or Payments will be strictly enforced. A tight turnaround is required due to transport requirements, attendance limits, first aid packs to be organised etc. The re-opening of Events after the cut-off date is not best practice and will only be done in exceptional circumstances.

Facilities – Student Lockers - All students at Heathmont College have access to a locker.  This is to ensure they have a space for their backpacks, books and electronic devices.

Please speak to your child regarding responsibility of their property with the understanding if items are stolen then you as a parent/carer will have to replace them. Please ensure your child has a working lock. You can purchase a new one on the 2026 Booklist or provide your own.

Student ID Cards - It is a requirement for all students to carry their Compass ID Card on them daily for attendance purposes, printing, canteen, and personal identification. If a student has lost their card or comes to the office on a regular basis to sign in late without their card, a new Compass ID Card will need to be ordered by you via: Compass / Cog / CompassIdentity Card / Order New Card and pay the replacement cost. Please be aware that a students’ 2025 Compass Card is valid until they receive their new one in March/April 2026.

Compass Attendance - If your student is going to be late for school, please add an ‘Attendance Note’ in Compass. You can use the drop-down for the reason and add the applicable start time. Students are required to sign in at the office when arriving late to school. If your student is leaving during the day for an appointment, you can also use the above method and add the actual time away from school.

The office welcomes your questions, suggestions or feedback and we look forward to seeing you in 2026.
