Live for Lily Ride

On the first week of the school holidays (1st - 7th April), the Live for Lily ride saw 4 Maribyrnong College teachers complete the gruelling 1250km ride from Melbourne to the Barossa Valley in South Australia.  Aaron Hester, Aaron Walklate, Ben Walklate and Erin Walklate were among 27 other riders that were completing the annual ‘Live for Lily’ bike ride to raise money for childhood cancer research.

The Live for Lily foundation has raised over $1.2 million dollars to fund vital cancer research in Australia, with this year's event adding a further $300k dollars to support the Murdoch Institute’s research into finding a cure for solid brain tumours in children.

Maribyrnong College has been a big supporter of the Live for Lily foundation for many years and congratulates all the riders in completing the ride and helping to put an end to childhood cancer.
