L2P Learner Driver Program

Mentors Required for L2P learner driver program

The L2P learner driver program is a free program designed to help learner drivers aged 16 – 21, who do not have access to a supervising driver or appropriate vehicle, gain the driving experience required for a probationary license as well as learn more about road safety.

Maffra Secondary College is currently looking for parents/guardians to act as mentors for the L2P learner driver program. These mentors are then matched with students within the school and during free periods, lunch before or after school, the mentor and learner can go out for a drive in the L2P program vehicle. All mentors are given training through VicRoads (one day) and they are WWC and police checked.  If you are interested in supporting this program, by acting as a mentor for our schools’ students, please contact Senior School Leader, Ryan Evans on ryan.evans3@education.vic.gov.au.

Kind regards,
