Year 12 Report

The year is already racing by for our Year 12 students, and before we know it, they’ll be embarking on their next great adventure. The upcoming holidays present the perfect opportunity to strike a healthy balance between rest, study, work and sport.

Year 12 VCE students have recently completed their Unit 3 trial exams, which are an important opportunity to gain experience with the exam process ahead of the end-of-year assessments. It is essential that students review their exams carefully, identifying both their strengths and the areas that need further attention. As the end-of-year exams can assess any content covered since the start of rollover in November, now is the time to begin consistent and focused revision.

To help kick-start exam preparation, we’ll continue to share details of online revision lectures via Teams as they become available. Most are no-cost and are online. Students are encouraged to register for them even if they can’t make all sessions, as they will provide a recording and allow them access to any resources provided. Below are links to upcoming opportunities:

Congratulations to all Year 12s on completing the General Achievement Test. Their outstanding attitude and behaviour during both sessions ensured everything ran seamlessly, and we hope they enjoyed the pizza lunch as much as we enjoyed providing it for them.

To help our Year 12 students celebrate the end of Term 2 and reaching the halfway point of their final year, they enjoyed a special Pancake Pitstop on Monday 22 June.

It was wonderful to see so many students coming together at recess, eagerly lining up for a pancake—or two or three! The event provided a great opportunity for students to take a well-earned break, catch up with friends, and celebrate their achievements so far this year.

Uniform

As we move into the colder weather, it is important that all students continue to wear the correct uniform. Below are a few reminders from the uniform policy:

  • Scarfs must be the KWRSC scarf available from the uniform shop or a plain navy blue or white with no logos or writing

  • Additional layers of clothing may be worn underneath the uniform for added warmth, provided these undergarments are completely hidden.

  •

Note: Year 12 students are to be in full school uniform until their last day of school or last exam.

Our Year 12 students are now well and truly on the home stretch, with a busy and important Term 3 ahead. As the year continues to fly by, it is vital that students remain focused, organised and committed to putting in their best effort each day.

To put this into perspective, our VCE students have just 61 school days remaining, while our VCE VM students have only 38 school days left before completing their secondary schooling journey.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, perseverance and resilience our Year 12 students have demonstrated throughout the first half of the year. We look forward to continuing to support and encourage them as they navigate the final stages of their schooling and work towards achieving their goals.
