Throughout Term 2, this is what has been going on in Year 8!

Starting off with sport: we've had the Year 8 boys' footy team, who have successfully made it to the next level! Our Year 8 girls' netball team have achieved this too, making it to the next level as well!

We also had the Life Changer program come to our school, which inspired the students to reach their goals and have a positive mindset when faced with challenges.

For performing arts this term, the school had Soloist Night, where students who enjoy singing could sign up to perform in a competition. Our Year 8 winner was Keira Donavan.

Our school also held a Music Festival, where our house colours competed to win the annual award. Oviyaa Kesavan and Grace Shaw represented our Year 8 cohort! The students went to rehearsal every week, showing dedication to their team and even practising during the school holidays. In the end, the house colour Bass won.

With the Matilda musical coming up in August (Term 3), students are practising every week, including some Year 8 legends! They have five shows, and you can buy tickets when they come out.

Koo Wee Rup Secondary's Year 8 went to Camp Rumbug this year. Our cohort participated in various activities such as the mud run, the giant swing and canoeing. We also got to play a range of different sports around the camp and, most importantly, we got to connect with one another, have fun and enjoy each other's company.
