District Cross Country - 26th May
Jazlyn - 8B
On the 26th of May, we went to Presidents Park in Werribee for district cross country. It was really tiring, and some parts were so slippery and muddy because it had rained the day before. Everyone ran at their own pace, with some trying to make it to the next round and others just wanting to finish. Even though it got tough, we kept going and stayed focused. Overall, it was a tiring day, but we all tried our best.

Year 9 Girls Soccer - 28th May
On the 28th of May, the year 9 girls' soccer team went to the soccer competition. Our first game was against Bemin secondary school. The score was 4-2 as a loss for us. The second game was against Good News Lutheran College which Brinbeal won 1-0. The defensive structure held up well and defense transitioned the ball well. This led to a phenomenal play between Mia Gray and Mia McAteer with McAteer scoring the shot. Not a single goal past the defense with amazing intercepts and defensive plays being used throughout the game. The last game of the day was against Tarneit P-9 with a score of 4-2. Mia McAteer scored with assists from the entire attacking front. Once again, our defense held strong. Although we didn't place first, we still had fun and were competitive throughout the entire day.

Year 7 Boys Soccer - 2nd June
Year 9 Boys Soccer - 4th June
The year 9 boys went out to Alcock Reserve to compete in soccer matches against other schools from the community. The students showed a high level of sportsmanship, teamwork and passion throughout the whole competition. The students, led by Co-Captain Jorawar 9A and Henok 9J, were in the competition to win the tournament right up until the last game, having goals scored by many students throughout the day. It was a wonderful day to see students encouraging and celebrating their achievements as a team. Well done to all students who both helped out with training and competing on the day!

Region Cross Country - 15th June
Bibek - 9J
I raced on a very wet and bumpy track and didn’t do so well but I think everyone else gave it their all. The bus drive felt really long. I am fine making it to regionals in the least.

On the 15th of June on a Monday myself and 19 other students from all year levels went to regional cross country. Everyone tried their best, having fun and supporting each other. At the start it was very cold but through the day it got better with a bit of sun. I took on the role of being the camera girl for the day. It was very fun as I took photos of everyone running the track. Runing the track was a bit hard due to the hill and muddy ground, but everyone tried their best and made it to the finish line.

Today I went to regionals and I proudly finished in 18 minutes and 20 seconds. I think everyone ran really well and tried their best.
Naomi - 9F
At regionals cross country, students got to participate at running the second round of cross country against plenty of different schools. There were many students there/participating and although most of us felt nervous we still tried and gave it our all!! When I was running I did feel like giving up but I kept pushing further as much as I could. Apart from this day being tiring it was still enjoyable and I was glad to make it this far even though I didn’t make it to state.

At regional cross country I felt nervous at first. In the beginning I was cold and tired. However I decided to stretch and jog for a bit. When it was my time to run, I tried my best. My strategy was running slow at first than at least when I run half way I will start to jog then sprint after 1 lap. After the race I cam either 50th or 51st place. What I found hard and slowed me down was the hill. It was kinda high and made me so tired when I was running up. But other than that, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be!

Today at regionals cross country I tried my best, even though I didn’t place in the top 10 (or get in to state) I still put in my full effort. My time was super slow at a WHOPPING 19 MINUTES but its okay because atleast I made it to regionals and im proud of myself for coming this far, I believe everyone gave their full potential and everybody did an amazing job!
Miekhe - 8A
Today everyone tried so hard running up hills, through puddle, wet grass and track. Meeting new people while running and trying your hardest it was an experience. No matter what place everyone came in , it was a great day. Getting to regionals was one of the biggest goals I had. Placing 46th in 12 was a great achievement.

Today in the morning we waited outside we were cold, but felt good. We hopped onto the bus and it was a 40 minute drive. We got there and got ready for the race, I did well but I did not qualify. The distance was not that big from the front, I kept on getting tripped and pushed but I saved myself from slipping and kept going. I finished the race and had fun after. We came back, and it was overall a good day.
