Year 9 Performance Showcase

Year 9 Music Showcase

The Year 9 Music Showcase was a wonderful celebration of the creativity, talent and dedication of our students. Families, friends and staff were treated to an evening of diverse musical performances that highlighted the skills and growth students have developed throughout the semester.

Each performance reflected the hard work and commitment of the students, who spent many weeks rehearsing, refining their techniques and preparing for the event. From ensemble pieces to individual performances, students confidently shared their musical achievements with an appreciative audience.

The showcase provided an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and passion for music while celebrating their accomplishments in music this semester. Congratulations to all performers on a successful and entertaining evening.

Music was a fun way to create our performance and perform in front of an audience. I would recommend it to someone who likes creativity.

Ben M

I enjoyed the practice sessions with my group and I loved how everyone performed in front of an audience without being too nervous. Not only that but how the groups expressed themselves in their different ways with their songs.

Reece B

Definitely one of the parts of the performance I liked was the practice runs we did before the show where we got to listen to each other.

Jenna E

Being able to showcase our skills as a small band and creating a piece for everyone to enjoy.

Year 9 Production of Alice's Wonderland

Congratulations to the Year 9 Production students on their outstanding performance of Alice’s Wonderland at the Year 9 Performance Showcase on 17 June. After a semester of hard work, dedication and creativity, students brought this whimsical story to life in front of family, friends and members of the Brinbeal community.

From Alice and the White Rabbit to the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts and many more memorable characters, the cast delivered engaging and entertaining performances that captivated the audience. We are incredibly proud of all the students involved and were delighted to share their achievements with our community.

I extremely enjoyed taking part in Production 2026. I learnt many different things from improving my acting skills, communication, teamwork and building on my perseverance skills. I will definitely take part in acting/drama again next year and highly recommend others to take part in this subject.

Production was something I was more than excited to take part in. The amount of effort put into the lighting, sound and props were just extremely outstanding!

I loved Production so much and made so many new friends and grew really confident. I loved how all our effort turned into an amazing play, and really hope we can do more like this in future.

I really liked Production. It was an awesome opportunity and it allowed me to be part of a wonderful experience. Out whole class worked really well together!! Production helped me learn how a play is put together and what happens backstage. I learnt the hard work that goes into putting on a production, but all the hard work was worth the effort!

Production was a very exciting experience throughout this semester, for being my first time in being in a production where I performed in front of a large audience. It was fun collaborating with our ideas and cooperating to make the props, design the costumes etc. Throughout the semester we unraveled the different roles and jobs it takes to create a show and different materials and effort we would need from each person to succeed in our show. Overall, I don’t regret choosing production as an elective and it was a good experience with friends o partake in.
