Changing the World Through STEM

Dear Students,

Have you ever wondered if we could grow a living, beating human heart in a laboratory? Or how engineering could help cure diseases without ever testing on animals?

The Graeme Clark Institute for Biomedical Engineering cordially invites you to an exclusive student webinar with Professor Milica Radisic, a world-renowned pioneer in tissue engineering from the University of Toronto.

Dr. Radisic’s research bridges chemistry, biology, and engineering to grow living, miniature human tissues from stem cells. In this interactive session, she will share her journey at the cutting edge of medicine, explain how her team creates these "organs-on-a-chip," and discuss how a career in STEM gives you the power to change the world.

Whether you are already passionate about science or just curious about where a STEM degree can take you, this webinar is designed to inspire your next steps.

Event Details:

  • Date: Thursday 6 August 2026
  • Time: 4.30 – 5.30pm (AEST)
  • Location: webinar

RSVP by Friday 31 July 2026.

If you are interested in hearing more about Professor Radisic’s work, we also encourage you to attend the Graeme Clark Oration on Wednesday 5 August (6-7.15pm).

Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet a global leader in medical innovation, ask your questions, and discover how you could be part of the next generation of scientific breakthroughs.
