VCE VM COMMUNITY PROJECTS

A massive thank you to the Vermont Secondary College community for supporting the Year 12 VCE VM Community Projects.

Thanks to your generous support students have been able to provide funds and resources to the following charity organisations:

Year 11 VCE-VM Work Related Skills – Speed X Interviews 

Our Year 11 VCE-VM students recently participated in the Speed X Interviews at the Novotel Glen Waverley, organised by Gateway LLEN.

Students prepared their own interview questions in advance. They took part in speed interviews with more than 30 employers across a wide range of industries, including the Police Force, Army, Ambulance Victoria, Fire Rescue, Zoos Victoria, RSPCA, Headspace, aviation crew, Grow Your Future, and various trades. The experience helped students practise and strengthen their interview skills. Students developed confidence in communication and professional presentation. They gained insights into career pathways and industry expectations. The event provided valuable networking opportunities with employers. Students built on key employability skills needed for the world of work.
