Year 6 Summer Sport 2024

The 2024 Year 6 group will commence their inter-school competition with a Lightning Premiership on Friday 2nd February. This is an all- day event at various venues. The venues will be announced as soon as they have been finalised. 

We have a T-20 Blast Gold team and T-20 Blast Green team and a Hotshots team. The season goes over two terms, Term 1 and Term 4.  Winter season is during Term 2.

Students will wear their Yr6 sport tops and their shorts for their inter-school sports uniform. School hats must be worn for these days. No hat no play. Drink bottles should also be taken each Fridays.

Coaches will discuss rules with their teams and the Lightning Premiership is used as rule practice and to orientate students with their chosen sport. The Moorabbin District Association adheres to strict behavioural protocols which will also be explained to students.

Parents are welcome to come and support their child’s fixtures. A fixture will be sent home via Compass at the start of the season.

District Swimming Trials Years 4-6

If your child is wanting to try out for the Ormond Primary School District Swim Team, trials will be held at GESAC on Tuesday 6th February. Trials will begin at 4.00pm and finish at 5.00pm sharp! Parents will be required to drop off and pick up students from GESAC. 

We always require assistance with timing and recording. If you are able to assist with timing and recording on the day, please let Mr. Pannam know.

The Moorabbin District Swim Carnival is being held at GESAC on Wednesday 6th March.
