School Captain Reports

School Captain Graduation Speech

Standing here today, in front of my teachers, classmates and all our parents, is one of the biggest achievements of my life. Making all these friends, creating these memories that I will forever cherish, it’s now hitting me that this is really the last time we will all be together.

When I first found out I was school captain, I knew that this year would be a big adventure. We would be doing all these new and exciting things, and learning as we go. There is no rulebook on being a school captain, but if there were, the first thing it would say is to just enjoy your year. Have fun, and create memories that will last forever. Because before you know it the year will be over.

These years of primary school have gone by in a blur, and it’s crazy to believe that in a couple of months we will be in high school! Seven years ago, we started this journey, and now, we are about to start on a new adventure. Seeing all of us grow up together, and making new friends, is a magical experience. I would like to thank all the teachers who have taught us to be who we are today, because without them none of us would be graduating!

This year has been a year of firsts and a year of lasts. My first assembly, my first school tour, first last day of school. My last primary school picture day, last assembly, last year with all my friends. But I know one thing, although this is the last year with my friends all together, it won’t be the last time I see them. Because I could never replace all the good times and amazing memories we have made together. Leaving Ormond, one thing I am sure of is that all the fun times, amazing teachers, and spectacular memories we all have made together, are forever in my heart and mind. Thank you.

School Captain Graduation Speech

Good evening teachers, parents, and fellow students. Firstly, I would like to thank all the people who have helped me along this crazy journey. My family, my teachers and my friends. I don’t know where I would be without them.

I was shocked when I found out I was going to be school captain. I had always wanted the position, but it was still an amazing achievement. I was proud of myself, but at the same time, I was a little nervous.

Over the summer, I made a few goals for the upcoming year. I wanted to improve the school and do something memorable. I doubt I have achieved any of those, but I think I did well as a school captain.

This year has been amazing. I’ve had my first assembly and now my first school tour. I have grown a lot throughout these years, and my time at Ormond has created many unforgettable memories. Thank you for listening.

Vice Captains Recap - Graduation 2023

On Thursday the 14 of December, all of the Year 6’s had our  graduation ceremony.

When we got there we gathered with our friends and family to take photos, then we went upstairs to eat some delicious food from Bird Box. After this, we got prepared to go down into the hall for the ceremony. There were some amazing speeches but the songs from the grade were definitely the best. During the night we had tears and laughter, but we all had the best time.

Once the ceremony finished, we had a disco with a Photo Booth for all our friends and even the teachers joined in with some amazing moves. Overall we had the best time and are all going to miss each other next year.
