Some students have already begun creating their artworks. However, due to the upcoming swimming program over the next two weeks, the majority of students will begin working on their fundraising artworks next term.

Further information about ordering and product options will be sent home once the artworks have been completed.

We are looking forward to celebrating our students' creativity and giving families the opportunity to turn their child's artwork into a special keepsake to treasure forever.

Examples of the keepsake products available through the Crazy Camel Fundraising Program are shown below. 🎨✨

Music Newsletter

Congratulations to everyone on a wonderful term of Music and Media making. It has been amazing to see all students embracing our mission of being engaged, creative and brave. I can’t wait for even more creativity in Term 3.

Preps:

Next Term the preps will be learning about different kinds of instruments, the sounds that they make and the way the sound is produced. Each week will focus on a different class of instrument including brass, woodwind, percussion, stringed instruments and electronic. In the second half of Term 3 students will be exploring different genres of music and learning to sing and play songs in that style of music.

1 / 2

In Years 1 and 2 students will be exploring the performing arts and learning about drama, acting, plays and improvisation. Students will learn how to read a script, create a character and perform their script in front of their peers. They will finish the term by exploring different types of instruments including the sounds that they make, their origins and they’ll even get a chance to make their own instruments to play.

3 / 4

Students in years 3 and 4 will be learning about the process of film making. Beginning with the fundamentals of how to film using an iPad, students will learn how to storyboard, edit and add effects. In addition students will learn about the magic of movies and how advertising is used to make a product so appealing. Their learning will culminate in the production of an advertisement using a product of their own choosing, storyboarding, filming and editing the ad.

5 / 6

In Year 5/6 students will be looking into music composition and how songs are written and recorded. Using digital technologies such as garageband students will create their own song, write their own lyrics and record their own vocals.
