Term 2 Week 10 - 26th June 2026

Wow! We have made it to the end of Semester 1. Our preps have now completed their first ever semester of primary school. What an amazing effort! We have had a wonderful time teaching them and learning with them about all sorts of things.

The Prep team - Mr. Downs, Ms. Diggins, Mr. S and Ms. Shellie - are so proud of everything they have achieved this year, so far. Parents should be proud, too. Each of them have come so far in their individual learning journeys and this is only the beginning.

We would also like to thank our parents and carers for their support across the semester and we look forward to doing it all again in Semester 2.

Over the last couple of weeks we have been very busy with the Le Page Swimming program. This has been so great for the students and they have done an amazing job demonstrating resilience and perseverance and independence. By all reports, this has been a very enjoyable experience for them all and we hope that they stick with it each year.

Parent Teacher conferences are now complete for both Prep A and Prep B. Thank you to the parents and carers for coming and taking the time to discuss your child and their progress so far this year. As mentioned, we are proud of them. They have come so far and it was a pleasure to share that with you all.

Important Information:

This Friday 26th of June will be the last day of term. We will be finishing at 2.30pm with our final assembly to be held at 2.00pm in the hall.

Term 3 will commence on Monday 13th of July.

Extra readers have been added to the blue pouches this week. That is to ensure everyone has something to practice with over the holiday break. Remember to read and practice everything we have been learning this year.

We have completed some additional reading assessments in the last couple of days and results have been generally quite positive. That said, we will look to add new books to our reader collection and send them home next term.

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday break. Enjoy the rest, hopefully there’s a few sleep-ins for everyone and come back refreshed and ready to go for Term 3.

What we are learning!

Maths:

New Maths units will commence in Term 3.

Inquiry:

A new Inquiry unit is ready to go for Term 3.

Literacy:

New Literacy units and activities are also ready to go for Term 3.

Next term we will update everyone on the important dates to be aware of. We will resume the updates on new learning activities and we will aim to keep you all as informed as we possibly can.
