Tremendous 3

Term 2 Week 10
Year 3 Newsletter
Welcome to Week 10 of Term 2!
We can’t believe we are already halfway through the year! We are incredibly proud of all the students and the growth they have shown, both academically and personally, throughout the first half of the year. It has been wonderful to see their confidence, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning continue to develop each day.
Literacy: In Literacy, students recently completed and presented their information reports on a chosen animal. They then took their learning a step further by creating an information report on a topic of their choice using a PowerPoint presentation. It was fantastic to see the wide range of interests and passions within our classroom, with students confidently sharing their knowledge and presenting to their peers. We were impressed by their research skills, creativity, and growing confidence when speaking in front of others.
Phonics:

Maths:
In Mathematics, students have completed a unit on addition and subtraction with regrouping. We are incredibly proud of how quickly they grasped these concepts and applied their learning to increasingly challenging problems. Throughout the unit, students demonstrated persistence, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to challenge themselves. It has been wonderful to see their confidence in mathematics continue to grow.
Science
In Science, we concluded our unit on living and non-living things. Students explored the characteristics of living things and learned how to identify and classify objects within their environment. To showcase their understanding, students created informative posters highlighting the key features of living and non-living things. Their creativity and knowledge were evident in their final projects, and they should be very proud of their efforts.
