Regional Athletics Competition
For relay, Naina ran first leg, Alierose ran second leg, Chantelle ran third leg and Muriel ran last leg. We came first in our heat but we lost to MSA that were in the second heat, for timed finals just by a few milliseconds.

This was my first time making it to regionals for triple jump, and it was a nice experience to see other girls that I know outside school and to know what it takes to make it to states. I was only able to get 2 jumps, because the last jump was over the board, so I was really close to coming first with the jump of 9.88m, while the girl who placed first jumped 10.12m.

Year 8 Boys Cricket
Division - Thursday 23rd October
We started off the day by playing our first with Dohertys. It was a very intense match us batting first and hitting a string score of 74 with the help of Viraj scoring 43 runs. They put up a fight we ended up winning by 6 runs. In the second match we bowled them out for 28 and won easily.
Harprabh 8F
We started the day by batting first and scored 74, Viraj scored 43. The first match was against Dohertys P-9. Ahmed and Viraj opened the bowling and took a wicket each. Viraj finished with 2 wickets.
Ahmed 8I
I enjoyed how we played and how we batted and how we bowled. I liked how we tried to field and make runs. I really liked how we tried our best to play and win.
Aman 8B
When we were versing Dohertys Creek we did good fielding. In our second game Ahmed got 4 wickets and in our first game Viraj hit 43 runs. We won both games.

We started the day with a win in a thriller match where they needed 7 runs in 2 balls then Viraj came in ...In the next match we got them all out on 28 runs where I took 2 wickets the mighty Farooq took 4 wickets and we won the match.

Region - Thursday 6th November
We started off 2 weeks ago with 2 wins on the very first day followed by beating P-9 in the semis and Good News in the finals becoming the very first cricket team at Brinbeal that won Districts. At Region we had to verse Strathmoore for our first game. We won the toss and decided to field. We had bad bowling at the start but we utilised spinners and slowed them down in the second half by stopping them on 152. We went on to bat, we had some some early wicked losses but we stayed their till the end and showed College values. We lost by 60-70 runs but it was fun playing and enjoying the wonderful sport of cricket.

We played our 1st match 2 weeks ago we were up against 2 teams. 1 match was a very close win with the help of Viraj, Ahmed, Harprabh and very gool bowling. 2nd match was an easy one where Ahmed took 4 wickets and Arshveer 2. Then we progressed to the semis and we won. It was a very hard match but we won it. Then in the finals we versed Good News but we beat them easily. Then we progressed to the Regionals where our nerves cost the game. They were 65 runs in 4 overs, then our spinners turned the game around but they still made 152 runs in 20 overs. The positives were that we stopped them from scoring more than 200 because they were playing really good. Our batting collapsed and we lost the game. We have come far being the first cricket team to reach Regionals.
