Year 7 Visual Arts

Our Year 7 Visual Arts students explored abstract art inspired by Ildiko Kovacs, a distinguished Australian contemporary abstract artist recognised for her expressive use of line, colour and movement. Using oil pastels and watercolour resist technique, our students focused on the art element of line to create their own expressive artworks. Learning about abstract art helps students develop their understanding of art elements and principles while encouraging them to explore their emotions, ideas and individuality through creative expression.
