Meet our New Staff

Meena Ruhal
Hi I am Meena. I have been teaching maths for past 21 years in Western Australia, having started from a small country town "Carnarvon", a mango, tomato and banana basket of WA. Previously I have taught maths for 6 years in Delhi, India. Besides teaching I love cooking and long walks. Looking forward to a fresh start in both personal and professional life.
Amalia Putri
Hi, my name is Amalia and I am very excited to be joining Brinbeal Secondary College as a Mathematics Teacher. Teaching runs in my family. My father, mother, and late grandmother were all teachers. Although I initially did not plan to follow in their footsteps, after exploring different paths over the years, I realised that my heart truly belongs in education! I recently completed my Master of Teaching from La Trobe University and am passionate about helping students enjoy and gain confidence in maths. In my spare time, I love travelling and spending time with my family.
Suyang Yao
I'm Suyang Yao, and I'm thrilled to be joining the Brinbeal Secondary College community in 2026. My teaching areas are Visual Arts and Media, and I believe imagination and creativity are at the heart of deep thinking, meaningful learning, and most importantly, a sense of fun and appreciation for life. Outside of teaching, I love travelling and exploring new places, staying active through different sports, and spending quiet time reading. I'm really looking forward to meeting you all and being part of this wonderful community!
Raj Kaur
Hi everyone! I’m Raj, and I’m thrilled to be joining Brinbeal Secondary College as a Mathematics teacher in 2026. I’m passionate about making maths engaging and meaningful for students, and I take pride in being a patient and creative educator—living my childhood dream of becoming a teacher. Outside the classroom, I love gardening, cooking, and spending time with my two beautiful daughters. I also have a fascination with the supernatural and recently discovered a fun new passion for face painting. I’m excited to be part of the Brinbeal community and look forward to an inspiring year ahead!
Ariel Chen
Hi, my name is Ariel. I’m super excited to join the Brinbeal Secondary College and become your Media and Chinese Teacher! I’ve done two different Master degrees at University of Melbourne and Monash University, for Education and Secondary Teaching respectively! I’ve done a lot of research on Victoria Curriculum and teaching strategies, which gave me tonnes of ideas on how to teach! My favourite sport is snowboarding! Exploring the mountains and challenge myself! Meantime, I have two cats who behave like dogs (cute and annoying the same time). I believe a teacher’s influence on students is about a moment, and I am dedicating myself to chase for that moment. Can’t wait to meet you all at Brinbeal in 2026!
