NTPFES Cadet Program

The NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES) Cadet program is an 18 month Vocational Education and Training program for students commencing Year 11. 

The program provides a unique experience for students to experience working in the Emergency Services environment, while also gaining tertiary qualifications. The program can also provide employment pathways into NTPFES, with Cadet graduates eligible for entry level Public Service recruitment via Cadet Special Measures Priority Consideration.

Applications for our 2025 Cadet intake will open on 1st August 2024, and will close on 4th October 2024. All applications must be supported by the students school VET coordinator. A link to the Cadet Program application form can be found in the Application Process section below.
