Agriculture - The Farm Gate
Over the past few weeks in Year 11 Agriculture, we have been looking at making our own little shops, where we have to think of something that is agriculturally sustainable as part of our assignment. I couldn't decide what I was going to do until I thought of a succulent shop. When having a little plant like the ones I am selling, it helps hold people responsible for maintaining the health of the plant and is also a good way to spice up different parts of the house. - Kye Truscott
Agriculture students have also been selling various fruits and vegetables including endive, watercress, lettuce, silverbeet, chives, olives and even the oyster mushrooms pictured below! They have also been selling eggs and deliciously refreshing cold-pressed juices.
'The Farm Gate' enables each of the year levels that participate in Agriculture and Food Technology to sell their produce. The shop front is outside the Food Tech kitchen from 3:15pm-4:30pm on Wednesday afternoons. Come along to purchase some amazing fresh food!
