Year 9 Desert Park Excursion

Article by Lily Mostran

On Monday 19 August, my Geography class as well as Mr Glegg’s Geography class spent three hours on an excursion to the Desert Park.

I was most excited about the Nocturnal House because of all the cute animals. If you don’t know, nocturnal animals only come out at night-time and sleep in the daytime; there were lots of bats, insects, mice, wallabies and snakes.

My favourite nocturnal animals were the hopping mice because they are so cute and it’s even cuter when they are hopping around their enclosure. It was relaxing looking around the nocturnal house with the lights off, but we could still see because of the mildly bright lights on the ceiling.
