Alumni Program News
This year has been filled with exciting opportunities for students to connect with alumni and industry professionals through a range of inspiring events and sessions.
Our alumni continue to play an important role in supporting current students by sharing their study pathways, career journeys, challenges and achievements. Through these conversations, students gain valuable insight into the many different pathways available after school and the skills needed for future success.
In term 1 we were lucky to have Alumni - Zak FINOCCHIARO, and Shelby PRESTON (Class of 2025), speak to our Year 12 Assembly about their journey and provide some study tips and general motivation for year 12. Then Alumni Rebecca FORTUNE (Class of 2009) spoke with your Year12 Business Management classes about her career as a Client Partnerships Director at HIVE Creative.
In term 2 we welcomed back Alumni Mark WLSON (Class of 1986) and Eve PAESLER (Class of 2022) who also spoke at our year 12 Assembly about their career Journeys and next week we have five Alumni coming back to school for our year 7 and 8 Careers Expo!
Finally, as part of Wyndham Central College’s relationship with Ourschool (who supports the Alumni program) we get invited to a number of Industry Insight Sessions- where students get to visit a workplace and hear from public high school Alumni and get a tour to see what they do at work. This year our STEM students visited ARUP, an Engineering firm and our year 11 and 12 Accounting students visiting KPMG a consulting firm. Both sessions were incredible and students got an opportunity to see these careers up close.
We are incredibly grateful to all alumni, industry partners and volunteers who generously gave their time to support our Alumni Program.
