Bands Night 2024 was a resounding success!

Students performed a huge range of pieces – from the Beatles to the Backstreet Boys, Blondie to the Spice Girls. Covering so many genres allowed our performers to challenge themselves – extending and sharing their skills and experience. The enthusiastic audience appreciated their efforts and enjoyed the energy that spilled from the stage!

The BSC theatre venue was alive with music, and our music students took advantage of having the opportunity to play to their families, peers, teachers. Playing to an audience requires students to not only know their pieces, but to learn to control nerves, manage their stage presence and develop he skills to ‘entertain the crowd’. Bands nIght involves a huge amount of collaboration and organisation, so I extend a huge thank you to our instrumental music teachers and to our MCs: Emily Lynch, Liv Talko and Zachary Yiolitis. Special thanks to  Emily Lynch who also designed the programme for the event, and to Hendrix Gauci for photography services.
