Primary Orienteering Competition

On Friday 17 November, 15 students from Years 3-6 competed at the Victorian Primary Schools Orienteering Competition.

It was a fantastic day out for all students competing against other schools while navigating around Woodlands Historic Park using maps and compasses.

Well done to all the students who competed on the day! Congratulations to Charlie D for placing 1st, Bailey L and Aaliyah C for placing 2nd and Lachlan M and Deren A for placing 3rd in their events.  A special thank you to Mrs Dowling and Mrs Riddell for taking the students on the excursion.

Year 8 Girls Basketball Team

We're thrilled to share the outstanding achievements of our Year 8 Girls Basketball Team this year! On 17 August, they soared to victory at the Regional Championship, securing the title for our region, Woodlands. In a nail-biting final, they emerged triumphant by a mere 2 points with just 20 seconds left on the clock—a testament to their skill, teamwork, and determination.

Fast forward to 14 November, and our talented girls took the court at the state-level basketball competition. Despite facing tough opponents, they showcased incredible teamwork and skill, winning one game while narrowly losing two others. Each match was intense and competitive, highlighting the grit and sportsmanship of our team.

Let's celebrate the resilience and success of our Year 8 Girls Basketball Team as they continue to make us proud on the court.
