Pi Day

Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant, Pi. In the US, March 14 can be written as 3.14, which is why the date was chosen for celebrating all things Pi. March 14 is also the International Day of Mathematics (IDM) and Albert Einstein's Birthday!

This year, the Maths team hosted Pi Day celebrations in the library. Students participated in a Pi recital competition and other Pi-related activities. Pi songs and videos were enjoyed by all.

Congratulations to Shane (7A), who was able to recite the value of Pi correctly to 115 decimal places. (Amazing!)

Thank you to Ryan (12C), Jules (12C), Imogen (11D) and Daksh (7A) for participating and being great competitors.
