From the Acting Principal

As we reach the end of another busy and rewarding term, I want to take a moment to reflect on our collective achievements and the exciting path ahead. This term has been filled with energy, engagement, and important milestones for our students and school community.
One of the highlights of the term was our Swimming Carnival, which was a resounding success, with students diving into the competition with enthusiasm and determination. Similarly, our Athletics Day, where students showcased their skills, sportsmanship, and house spirit. It was fantastic to see so many students participating enthusiastically, supporting each other, and striving for their personal best. Congratulations to all participants and our winning houses, Arakoola and Thalera, respectively.
Our Year 11 students had an unforgettable experience at their camp on Phillip Island. Through a range of adventure and team-building activities, they strengthened friendships and developed resilience—an invaluable experience as they continue their senior school journey. Meanwhile, our Year 7 students enjoyed their camp at Forest Edge, where they embraced new challenges, formed lasting friendships, and built confidence as they settled into secondary school life.
This term also saw our Year 7 and Year 9 students participate in NAPLAN assessments. We are proud of their dedication and efforts, and we look forward to reviewing the results to continue supporting their learning and development.
Our school also celebrated Cultural Diversity Week and Pride Week, both of which were filled with engaging activities that encouraged inclusivity, understanding, and respect within our school community. It was wonderful to see students and staff come together to celebrate our diverse backgrounds and promote a sense of belonging for everyone.
For our Year 12 students, this term was especially memorable, with both the Year 12 Formal and the Year 12 Big Day Out providing opportunities to celebrate and reflect on their final year of school. These events were a fantastic way for students to enjoy time with their peers, create lasting memories, and mark this important stage in their journey.
A significant milestone for our school this term was our School Review. This rigorous and reflective process allowed us to celebrate our successes and identify areas for growth. As a result, we have developed an ambitious new strategic direction that will guide us over the next four years. This strategy will focus on enhancing student learning outcomes, fostering well-being, and strengthening our community partnerships. We are excited to officially launch this new direction at the beginning of next term and look forward to working together to bring this vision to life.
I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to our dedicated staff for their tireless efforts in supporting student learning and for organising the many fantastic events and opportunities that enrich our students' school experience. Their commitment and passion are truly invaluable to our school community.
As we head into a well-deserved break, I encourage all students to take time to recharge, reflect on their achievements, and return next term ready for another period of learning and growth.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community. I look forward to seeing you all next term as we continue this journey together.
