Playground Update

Construction on our playground is continuing and is nearing completion!! The recent rainy weather has slowed the progress by approximately two weeks with the soft and wet ground making difficult working conditions. This had a particular impact when the site was being cleared as the heavy construction equipment was challenging to use and impacted the                                   completion timetable.

The play equipment has now been installed, and the gardens and pathways have been built. There are now two stages left to complete - the rubber has to be poured and the garden beds need to be planted. The contractors who pour the rubber have been booked in for early next week, but they do require clear days of no rain to pour, set and colour the rubber. While this rubber is being poured, the garden beds will be completed.

We are grateful for the understanding that our community has shown to the impact the weather has had on the build timeline, especially those that have been impacted by the closure of our back gate onto Northumberland Cct. This most recent delay means that this gate will remain closed until Tuesday 12th August.
