SCHS Success Stories

Sparkle Award Winners

We are thrilled to announce the first 4 recipients of the Sparkle award who were recognised in the most recent assembly: Year 9 Amelia Durham, Year 10 Atharva Walawalkar, Year 11 Momina Khan, Year 12 Leroy Chung.

This award acknowledges individuals who may inspire others through their actions, are kind, demonstrate resilience and make a positive contribution to the school community.

Now, if you’re wondering the origins of its name, it is actually derived from our very own school song! “A spark to inspire, ignite and embolden,” is the first lyric of the song our students devote themselves to.

This award is presented twice a term to one individual from each year level. What makes it special is that it is entirely student run – nominations are filled in by student leadership members themselves who look out for students quietly reflecting the values and culture we strive to see at our school every day.

Your 2026 School Captains,

Sybil, Gavin, Tim, and Tanisi.

Competing against representatives from seven other schools, Ishmay won Heat 5 and has now progressed through to the Wynspeak Finals. Impressively, Ishmay represented SCHS as the school’s sole competitor at the event.

We congratulate Ishmay on this fantastic achievement and wish them all the best in the finals!

Teamwork and Determination on Display at WMR Tennis

The Intermediate Tennis Team competed at the WMR competition  and represented the school with great effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Throughout the day, the team faced tough competition and played hard in every match. Several matches were closely contested, highlighting the team’s dedication throughout the day.

Although the team did not advance to the next round, they should be proud of their accomplishments and the way they represented the school.

Congratulations to the Intermediate Tennis Team on an outstanding effort at regionals.
