Supporting Year 12 Wellbeing

Our Year 12 students recently reconnected with Gil from Unleashing Personal Potential for a session exploring wellbeing through the PERMAH framework.

Gil has worked with the students at various stages throughout their Lakeside College journey, so it was lovely to welcome back a familiar face as they enter the final months of secondary school.

The session introduced students to the six elements of wellbeing and provided practical ways to strengthen each one. With SACs, exams and important decisions ahead, students were encouraged to consider how they can care for themselves, manage stress and maintain a healthy balance during what can be a demanding time.

The session also looked beyond Year 12. While finishing school can bring some uncertainty, it also opens the door to many exciting opportunities. Students were encouraged to draw on their strengths, relationships and support networks as they prepare for the next stage of their lives.

It was a timely and valuable opportunity for our Year 12 students to pause, reflect and consider the habits that will support them through the challenges of the coming months and the exciting possibilities that lie beyond Lakeside College.
