Class of 2025 Academic Award Winners

Recently, we have had several opportunities to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the Class of 2025.

On 28 January, CEWA schools gathered at the Chapel of St Michael the Archangel in Leederville to recognise academic excellence from the previous school year. Seven students were awarded VET Certificates of Excellence, with two also receiving a VET Exhibition in addition to their certificate. A VET Exhibition is presented to the eligible student who demonstrates the most outstanding performance in an Australian Qualifications Framework VET Certificate II or higher in their final year of WACE.

On 12 February, our two VET Exhibition recipients-Santino Passalaqua and Tanaya Elliott, attended the SCSA Exhibitions and Awards Ceremony at Government House, having been nominated for the VET Beazley Medal. This award is granted by SCSA in recognition of outstanding achievement in a VET program. We are immensely proud of their nomination and the dedication it represents.

In Week 1, we held our first assembly of the year and came together as a community to congratulate last year’s award recipients, including members of our 95+ ATAR Club and our VET Certificate of Excellence awardees. Students reflected on their secondary school journey over morning tea, and some had the special opportunity to see their names engraved on a board in our reception area.

It is always inspiring to see our students pursue excellence in their studies. We encourage both our past and current students to continue striving to do their very best in all that they undertake.
