Prayer

God of all Mercy,

We begin our journey towards Good Friday and Easter.

As we pray, fast and give alms this Lent,

help us to make more space in our busy lives for you.

May the ashes we received on Ash Wednesday remind us 

that your love is larger than life, and that all people are equal in your eyes.

This Lent, help us to Unite Against Poverty,

to work for justice, and to care for the world you made.

Show us how to be kind and to build a world where everyone

belongs and can live in peace.

We ask this is Jesus’ name.
