Academic Excellence

Welcome back to another exciting year of our amazing Academic Excellence Program for students in Year 7 to Year 9.

The Academic Excellence Program (AEP) at St Norbert College provide students with the opportunity to extend their learning, develop creativity, work collaboratively and improve their problem-solving skills. The program is aligned with the College motto of being, “Prepared for all good works”, through fun activities and projects. 

An enthusiastic group of students met early on Friday morning to get to know each other and to learn what was in store for them this term as part of the program.

The Year 7 - 9 students will meet weekly on Friday mornings to learn in depth about organisation, study habits and complex thinking, amongst other things. Each term students will be immersed into at least one research project where they can use their new skills. The project for this term will be a bridge building competition.

If students are interested in participating in the Academic Excellence Program, they are welcome to come along to our meetings in C2 from 7:30am – 8:30am. Students are asked to complete an Expression of Interest form and hand it to Mr Sligar (Maths office). 

We look forward to another rewarding year and are very excited about what lies ahead.
