Careers and Workplace Learning

The Careers Centre and WorkPrep Office have been hard at work as we run towards the end of a very busy term. Last week saw the commencement of Workplace Learning Placement 2 for 99 senior students. This week was the launch of the Subject Selection process for our future Year 11 students. Next week (Tuesday, 23 June) will be the annual Careers Expo with exhibitors from universities, TAFE, training organisations and industry groups.

University Applications – Early Offers

Applications are currently open for 2027 full-time courses. Notre Dame applications can be completed directly via their website www.nd.edu.au, with all other WA universities accepting applications through www.tisc.edu.au  

Please check the university websites to see which courses accept early applications.  The first round of Early Offers will be made at the start of October. 

Term 3 – Year 12 Transition Planning Meetings

In the second half of Term 3, all Year 12 students will be scheduled a Transition Planning Meeting with Mrs Gonsalves to finalise their plans for post-school. More information will be shared with students and guardians next term.

Year 10 Work Experience

During the first week of Term 3, on the 20 to 24 July 2026, Year 10 students studying the Careers elective will be undertaking their work experience.  Students and guardians have received information about the placements and we are very excited to hear all of their stories when they return.  If anyone has any questions or queries, please email the WorkPrep team on wpl@norbert.wa.edu.au.
