Welcome back to Term 3!

We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable holiday break.

We have started the term by getting straight into our learning, and it has been wonderful to see students returning refreshed, enthusiastic and ready to learn.

In Literacy, we have been exploring informative writing and learning how to write factual texts about pythons. Students thoroughly enjoyed discovering interesting facts about these fascinating reptiles and sharing their learning through their writing.

In Mathematics, we have been focusing on length and measurement, using informal units to measure and compare objects in our classroom environment.

In Religion, we have begun our new unit, Daily Life in Jesus' Time, where students will explore what life was like during Jesus' time and develop a deeper understanding of the world in which he lived.

As part of our Inquiry unit, we are incorporating a Science focus to complement the learning students are doing with Mrs McKenzie. We are learning to identify and describe a variety of mini beasts and their features. Students are enjoying discovering fascinating facts and exploring the wonderful world of mini beasts.

In the final week of term, students will be heading to Winton Wetlands for an exciting excursion connected to our Inquiry and Science learning. During the visit, students will have the opportunity to observe and explore insects and other mini beasts in our local environment. More information about the excursion will be provided closer to the date.
