Principal's message

"I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry." (John 6:35)
Loving God,
We pray for the children in our school community who are preparing to receive their First Eucharist.
Fill their hearts with wonder and joy as they continue to learn about the gift of Your Son, Jesus, in the Eucharist. Help them to feel Your love, grow in faith, and understand the special blessing of welcoming Jesus into their hearts.
Bless their families, teachers, and parish community as they guide and support them on this important step in their faith journey.
May this time of preparation deepen their friendship with Jesus and inspire them to live with kindness, gratitude, and love each day.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Confirmation/ Eucharist
Last Tuesday and Wednesday evening our children celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation. The evenings were a reverent and joyous celebration. We now continue our preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Eucharist to be held on 18th August, which then completes the initiation into the church for these children.
In celebrating Eucharist or the Mass, Catholics gather as a faith community to celebrate God's life-giving presence in our world and the presence of Jesus Christ. We keep alive the story of Jesus by listening to the Word of God proclaimed in the readings which is The Liturgy of the Word. In the Liturgy of the Eucharist, we have the Consecration is the most special moment in the Mass. The priest repeats the words Jesus said at the Last Supper over the bread and wine. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus which we receive in communion.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The president of the St. Vincent de Paul Society wrote to thank our school community for your generous response to the Blanket Appeal. Our school donated 46 blankets, 32 beanies, 15 pairs of gloves, 3 pairs of socks, 4 scarves and $722.45.
This was a very generous response to those in our community who are struggling with the cold this winter. True to the spirit of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Parent teacher interviews
I hope you had the opportunity to come into school and meet with your child's teacher. These catch ups are important in keeping the lines of communication open, sharing of information and providing further insights into your child's report.
Have a great week everyone
