School Musical – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Wow! What an amazing cast and crew of 47!  We visited the Shirley Burke Theatre in Parkdale during Week 9 for a very professionally run Secondary School Musical.

The students should all be very proud of their 5-show run of the musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We were all blown away by the talent that our students have in acting, dancing and singing as they brought the stage to life with the classic Roald Dahl story of a little boy whose dreams of running a chocolate factory came true.

Thank you to Abigail Awad for her brilliant choreography, Angela Landy for her superb directing and Ruth Barry for her musical direction through the year. I believe the students displayed their best stage selves and truly transformed into the characters they played.

Countless hours of time were put into this musical by staff and students. Thank you also to the teachers that supervised students and managed backstage. We could not have done it without the help of many, many people.

From this experience, students have memories that will last a lifetime - memories that are better than a lifetime supply of chocolate!
