STATE ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS SUCCESS
On Monday 20th October, Parkdale Secondary College proudly competed at the State Athletics Championships held at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park. Our talented team of 14 athletes represented the College with outstanding displays of our school values – Respect, Resilience, and Excellence – as they competed against the very best student athletes from across Victoria.
Despite challenging weather conditions early in the day for the middle distance track events, the skies eventually cleared, allowing athletes to settle and perform at their best. This year saw Parkdale’s largest ever team qualify for the State Championships, with many students making their debut at this elite level of competition — an incredible achievement in itself.
The team’s hard work and commitment paid off, bringing home an impressive eight medals across a range of events. Congratulations to all competitors for their outstanding performances and effort on the big stage.
