Humanities - Medieval Day

On Tuesday 10 March, Blackburn High School stepped back in time as we hosted our annual Medieval Day incursion. Over Term 1, Year 8 students have been exploring Medieval Europe in their Humanities classes and were able to bring their learning to life through a range of hands-on activities. 

Students rotated through several engaging sessions, including archery, troubadour and games, crime and punishment, weapons and armour, and medieval tournament. It was wonderful to see students enthusiastically taking part in each activity and immersing themselves in the sights and stories of Medieval society. 

Well done to all involved, and we hope our Year 8s enjoyed their journey back to the Middle Ages!
