Auslan

Prep 

Prep students have been learning to read aloud a book in Auslan. They have learnt to read the book Duck by Meg McKinlay and Nathaniel Eckstrom. They have practised animal signs they learnt previously, as well as learning new signs that allowed them to read the book aloud. 

Students will be learning signs for community, including places and people within their community. They will learn to translate signs from Auslan into English. 

Grade 1- Grade 6 

This term students have been learning signs for school. They have been learning to translate from Auslan into English through activities that practice the signs they have been learning. Students will be continuing to learn signs for school plus pronouns, words for likes and dislikes and question words that will allow them to construct sentences.
