Celebrating Our Special People

Join us for a celebratory breakfast!

Come and share a celebratory breakfast before school with your child on Friday 12 September, between 8 – 9:30am, outside by the gym foyer.

This event is an opportunity for children to recognise and celebrate those very special people in their lives (dads, grandpas, other relations, special friends, etc.) While this event does focus on dads, we know that there many different types of families and we want to be as inclusive as possible.

At Fairfield Primary School we know that many families will enjoy celebrating Father's Day with their loved ones on Sunday 7th September. We also recognise that this day can be challenging or complicated for some families for many different reasons. In our curriculum throughout each year we teach and celebrate all different family structures and refer to the day as ‘Special Person’s Day'.

If your child needs extra support navigating the day and these activities, please get in touch with their classroom teacher and/or the appropriate Wellbeing Leader.

What's for breakfast?

In light of the success of our 'baked goods' breakfast held in May, we will again offer sweet and savory bites including:

  • Mini sweet Danish pastries
  • Cheese and vegemite rolls
  • Iced buns
  • Cheese and bacon mini scrolls
  • Scones

Two coffee vans will be onsite, to fulfill those caffeine cravings.

A note on timing, students will enter their classrooms at 9am giving parents the opportunity to chat and hang out a little longer on the grounds.

We will do a callout for some volunteers to assist on the day – keep an eye our for details in a Compass communication.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
