Countdown to ART FOR ALL
The countdown is on – only three days to go until ART FOR ALL 2025!
Our parent coordinators are busily making sure that everything is in place as we look forward to hosting our annual extravaganza. Our communications coordinators have done a terrific job of keeping everyone informed through the ART FOR ALL newsletters and social media. Not a stone has been left unturned as we prepare for a weekend of fine art, music, food and fun.
A quick recap of what is happening when:
- Friday 29 Aug, 6 – 9pm: Gallery and Gallery Shop are open for preview night. Drinks available at the bar.
- Saturday 30 Aug, 10am – 2pm: The Gallery and Gallery Shop will be open to browse and discover art by students and local talent, with cakes & coffee available.
- Saturday 30 Aug, 7 – 11pm:Join all the fun of Gala Night – enjoy art, music and delicious canapés with drinks at bar prices.
- Sunday 31 Aug, 11am – 4pm: Family Fair Day takes over the school – ArtZone, disco, rides, gallery, live music, delicious food and more!
As with all our school events, these great experiences for our children and the community – and can only happen with the help of adult volunteers. We ask that each family volunteer for two hours over the course of the event. Sign up here.
There are many spots still available, and we really need volunteers for:
- Gallery and Gallery Shop
- Gala Night bar on Saturday night – no experience necessary.
- ArtZone and food sales on Sunday.
Opening ART FOR ALL – Welcome Assembly on Friday
We will be holding an assembly on Friday morning to open ART FOR ALL. The assembly will include a performance from dance group, Nunkeri Tiddas, from Thornbury High School. All parents are welcome to attend at 9am on Friday at the Fig Tree Courtyard.
Book Week Celebrations
I was on leave when our book week festivities took place, however I heard how well the day went, and how much our students and the community embraced the opportunity to immerse themselves into the world of books, bringing to life characters from across the literary world.
Thank you to everyone for your support of the day. A special mention to Cathy Turner for her coordination.
Parent Feedback – Opinion Survey
You will have recently received details to complete the parent feedback survey. We invite all our families to complete this survey and encourage you to do so. The more responses we receive, the more accurate the data.
Beyond the parent survey, I always encourage and welcome parents to share their feedback with me. It is helpful for me to hear about the experiences and perspectives of families, positive and negative, as this can inform decision making processes. My termly morning tea sessions are a good example of parents asking questions which I can then communicate more broadly.
SunSmart Hats Required
You may have noticed that the UV index is slowly starting to creep upwards, so it’s time to find your broad brimmed and bucket hats ready for school. From the start of September students are required to wear SunSmart hats, to comply with our SunSmart Policy.
Thanks for your support of the school, and enjoy the rest of the week.
