A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers

This term there’s been a great range of sporting activities in which the students have really enjoyed taking part.

Over recent weeks the secondary students have participated in various ACC Lightning Carnivals. The Year 6s have also participated in two rounds of the Eagles Cup, with the College hosting Round 2 of the competition today. The energy and passion displayed both on and off the field was great to see as was the support received from parents and the broader school community.

Year 11 ATAR students begin their exams next week. This is an important time for our senior students as they focus on performing to the best of their ability in these exams. Please keep our Year 11 students in your prayers at this time.

Next week, we commemorate the Stolen Generations on National Sorry Day (Monday, 25 May).  We acknowledge the strength of the survivors and reflect on the part we all play in the process of healing. For the remainder of next week, we celebrate National Reconciliation Week, considering the contribution each of us may make towards reconciliation.

Friday 30 May is a pupil free day, as college staff gather for Professional Development. The following Monday (2 June) is a public holiday (WA Day). I hope you all enjoy the long weekend.

God bless.

Karen Prendergast
