Mission & Faith Life

Habemus Papam! We have a Pope!

Pope Leo XIV - A new Shepherd for the Flock

Prayer for Pope Leo XIV

Faithful God,

You guide us on the path of life

and your goodness is our constant companion.

Be with our new Shepherd, Pope Leo XIV,

in his service of the Church.

Fill him with the power of your Spirit,

the peace of your presence

and the compassion of Christ.

May he walk with you,

in wisdom and humility,

and lead us, together with all God’s people,

to embody your love for the world.

Amen.

Special 'Thank You'

A special Thank You to Mr Cave and all of the teachers and student leaders who helped run the sausage sizzle fundraiser at the Secondary Cross Country. The stall was a huge success! The student leaders made the decision together to donate the $300 raised on this day to the St Vincent De Paul Society. Thank you for your love in action!

Year 3 Retreat

Our Year 3 students enjoyed a peaceful Reconciliation Retreat at the beautiful Schoenstatt Shrine this week. They reflected on God's love and the importance of forgiveness through prayer, stories, and quiet time. Special thanks to Sr Lisette for her gentle guidance and inspiring us to open our hearts to God’s mercy and grace. Thank you also to our wonderful staff, Mrs Cook, Ms Branche and Ms Ivers who have supported our students in preparing for this special Sacrament.

Year 9 Christian Service Learning

This week, our Year 9 students began their Christian Service Learning program by spending time with the elderly at Armadale Place Care Community. Through conversation, compassion, and presence, they are building meaningful connections and living out our call to serve others with compassion. Thank you to all of the teachers and EAs who have nominated to attend this after school activity every other Tuesday over the next two terms and support our students.

Laudato Si' Week (17 - 24 May)

“Laudato Si’ Week is a celebration held annually in May to mark the anniversary of Pope Francis’s landmark encyclical on caring for creation. This global celebration unites Catholics to listen and respond together to the cry of creation, rejoice in the progress we have made in bringing Laudato Si’ to life, and intensify our efforts through the Laudato Si’ Action Platform as well as other opportunities for education and action.

This year Laudato Si’ Week is extra special as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’ in the Year of Jubilee. It is also a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge with gratitude the incredible inspiration of Pope Francis in caring for our common home.”

Pope Francis' Monthly Prayer Intention

In May, we pray for working conditions.

Let us pray that through work, each person might find fulfilment, families might be sustained in dignity, and that society might be humanised.
