Students receive a multitude of insights into industry at global design & engineering firm ARUP and the alumni program will continue to make an impact in 2025.

ARUP INDUSTRY INSIGHT SESSION

As part of Frankston High School’s partnership with Ourschool, a group of 39 Years 9 and 10 Aviation elective students recently attended an interactive event at ARUP’s Melbourne head office. This allowed them to explore career pathways at a global leader in engineering, participate in small group discussions with employees and discover the fastest-growing industries in sustainability and engineering. Particular highlights were the practical activity exploring the properties of structures that float and the tour of ARUP’s incredible facilities which included engagement with experienced staff throughout.

The Alumni Program has big plans for the year ahead and will continue to provide insight and inspiration to students at Frankston High School, reinforcing learning through connection with the relatable knowledge and experience of past students.

ABOUT THE ALUMNI PROGRAM

Frankston High School is continuing to grow its Alumni Program in partnership with Ourschool, a not-for-profit alumni program for state secondary schools and the first of its kind in Australia.

By connecting with the Alumni Program, past students can provide career guidance and work experience opportunities for current students, establish scholarships and bequests, or volunteer in lots of other ways.

Ourschool is working with Frankston High School to help these things happen by growing the school’s alumni community and coordinating the involvement of alumni in the school.
