Celebrating Excellence and Optima Semper at the Frankston High School Presentation Night
On Wednesday 11 December at the Frankston Arts Centre, we had the pleasure of celebrating the outstanding achievements of many of our students at the Frankston High School Presentation Night. Congratulations to the following students on their exceptional accomplishments:
Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Awards:
Eliza Patston (Year 10) and Molly Flanders (Year 12). These awards are based on values upheld by the Australian Defence Force, including leadership, teamwork, and integrity.
Australian Defence Force Young Innovators Award for Excellence in Science and STEM:
Alexander O’Rourke (Year 10) and Lily Wilson (Year 12). Both students demonstrated drive, passion, and outstanding results in Science and STEM.
Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program:
Emi Wang was accepted into this prestigious University of Melbourne program, designed to enrich the academic experiences of high-achieving students.
Monash Scholars Program:
Congratulations to Yan Chwa, Eve Kierzkowski, and Kourosh Kiyaninejad, who were accepted into this program for high-achieving students, offering unique opportunities for academic growth and career exploration.
Ampol Best All Rounder Award:
Molly Power (Year 12) was recognised for her exceptional leadership, academic success, and contributions to her school and community.
VCAA VCE Leadership Award – Frankston High School nominations:
Congratulations to Molly Flanders and Trey Lawson for their exemplary leadership and community work.
Louisa Dunkley Shield:
Presented to Blake Alford-Ryan for his commitment to fairness, equality, and community, reflecting the inspiring legacy of Louisa Dunkley.
Deakin Young Influencer Award:
Emily Hallam (Year 11) was recognised for her outstanding contributions to her school community and her commitment to fostering a supportive environment.
Cliff Herlihy Award
The Lions Club of Frankston sponsors this award to recognize a student who reflects the school motto Optima Semper and the values of empathy, integrity, optimism, persistence, respect, and responsibility. This year’s recipient is Mae Fanning (Year 7) for her consistent embodiment of these values and her positive contributions as a member of the Student Leadership Council and school events.
Catherine Saroukos General Excellence Award
Sponsored by Peninsula Two Point Zero Rotary Club, this award honors the memory of Catherine Saroukos, a dedicated teacher's aide and Rotary member. This year’s recipient, Alyssa Lancaster (Year 11), is recognized for her outstanding commitment to studies and extracurricular activities, including her leadership in the school production and the concert band.
Sir Keith and Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Scholarships
Awarded for academic achievement and resilience, this year’s recipients are:

Dylan Briggs Year 9 Leadership Award
Sophie Easterbrook and Archie Frew (Year 9), for exemplary leadership and commitment to school life.
PRO Award
Caitlin Barker (Year 7), Bridie Waixal (Year 8), and Ella Cowan (Year 11), for persistence, respect, and optimism through challenges.
Paulsen Award for Most Outstanding Swimming Achievement
Oliver Seeley (Year 7), for remarkable success at state and national swimming competitions.
Kenneth J Rowe Outstanding Achievement in Athletics Award
Jack McKernan (Year 11), for exceptional athletic success at state level.
Debbie Flintoff-King Sporting Excellence Award
Marlie Uluinabou (Year 9), for outstanding performances in athletics and cross country.
Top Sports Person Awards:
Junior: Annabel Classon (Year 8), for success across athletics, cross country, and team sports.
Middle: Joel Howell (Year 10), for achievements in athletics, cross country, and basketball.
Senior: Frankie Anderson (Year 12), for success in swimming, athletics, cross country, and soccer.
Frankston Susono Speech Contest:
