OIGA's Mission
The OIGA’s mission is to reach, connect and support alumni and current students. This is achieved in a multitude of ways, one of which is by supporting a current student with their passion for Art, Design & Media.
Alumni Achievements


Touch Football Alumni Achievements to Celebrate: Jess Hooker, Chloe Nightingale, and Caitlin Malara played in the recent University Nationals.
Jess and Chloe played for Melbourne Uni, with alumni Avena Henriksen as coach. They finished 8th overall.
Caitlin played for Monash Uni who were coached by Josh Hogan who is our 1st girls touch football coach. They finished 3rd overall.
Milan – More than Just Fashion:
International sports TV presenter Adriano Del Monte (’06) recently teamed up with ‘Tipping Point’ host Todd Woodbridge in Milan.
They filmed an exciting day trip through the iconic city for Channel Nine’s Postcards series, as well as, Nine’s World of Sports, as a prelude to the 2026 Winter Olympics to take place next February.
Kaylen Bassett ’15 Wins the Bronze Medal at the World Championships! - ICF Slalom World Championships Sydney 2025:
What a huge week for alumni Kaylen Bassett ’15, Tristan Carter ’17 and Ben Ross ’21 representing and competing at the World Championships in Sydney. The boys delivered a flawless run briefly holding top spot before being edged out by France in the final moments.
All three alumni qualified for the C1 finals yesterday with Kaylen taking home the bronze medal and winning the first senior men’s World Championships medal since Robin Bell in 2007!A truly special moment for them all to compete in the Worlds at home in Australia. Congratulation’s to them all and to Kaylen your first medal, on home soil, at a World Champs. What a week – Egoyah!




OIGA Awards to the Students in the Arts and Media
The Old Ivanhoe Grammarians’ Media Award was established in 2022 to recognise the efforts of a Media Student’s hard work and commitment in their final year at School.

The OIGA Encouragement Award was established 13 years ago to highlight and encourage a Visual Arts Student from year 10 and below.
