Educational Consultant Trevor MacKenzie

What an incredible two weeks of learning we've had at Saltwater College! We were incredibly privileged to welcome internationally recognised educator, best-selling author and world renowned educational consultant Trevor MacKenzie, all the way from Canada. Trevor is spending time working alongside our teachers and students to strengthen engaging, student-centred learning and build even greater opportunities for every learner. 

Rather than simply speaking about great teaching, Trevor rolls up his sleeves and works alongside our staff in real classrooms. Together, they co-plan, co-teach, observe, reflect and refine practice, ensuring our students remain at the heart of every decision we make. The learning has been inspiring, practical and immediately impactful.

Our focus is clear: creating classrooms where students are curious, engaged and empowered to ask meaningful questions, think deeply, collaborate with others and take increasing ownership of their learning.

During his visit to Melbourne, Trevor is also facilitating professional learning and working with educators from other schools, including Wesley College, sharing his expertise with teachers from across the education sector. We are proud that Saltwater College is one of the schools he has chosen to partner with during his Australian visit.

We are grateful to Trevor for sharing his expertise so generously, and equally proud of our teachers, whose commitment to learning, reflecting and continually refining their practice is what makes opportunities like this so powerful.
